It was a beautiful day to celebrate 10 years of marriage--the Summer
heat had let up a bit, there wasn't a cloud in the sky...and
Carmaggedon turned out to be the non-event of the year!
That's right, even the petroleum-hungry car gods made the way clear
for friends and family to join Sal and Nataly, as they commemorated
their matrimonial decennium by renewing their vows and commitment to
one another. Among the friends in attendance, Bill Rude made for the
perfect officiant, with an engaging balance of poignance and
irreverance, and at one point referred to Sal as Nataly's "sassy
little Mexican".
The ceremony was followed by baked deliciousness from Porto's, and
tasty grooves by DJ Groovy Lu (Luis Orellana). You'll have to ask
Nataly where they got their amazing cake, which was remeniscent of
"The Giving Tree".
Congratulations, Sal and Nataly, and thank you for inviting me to
share this special occasion with you. I had a wonderful time (as, I'm
sure, everyone else), and my legs STILL ache from gettin' my
boogie-down all night!
